During a ceremony at Carroll Senior High on Wednesday, 28 athletes in 13 sports signed with colleges across the country indicating their plan to further their education and their athletic careers. Following a celebration with families and friends, the event moved to the gym where each student-athlete was photographed “signing” their letter of intent to play at the next level. Finding the right college home was an easy decision for senior Parker Wilkerson, who signed to play soccer at the University of Denver.
“The campus is amazing, the academics are world-class and I was determined to be a part of a program and culture that has high expectations for winning conference titles and making deep playoff runs,” Wilkerson said. “As soon as I met the players and coaches, I knew right away that DU was the perfect fit.”
