About the Contributors
Cailyn Cashon
Cailyn Cashon, Dragon Sports Media
Cailyn Cashon is a 15-year-old sophomore at Carroll High School. She is going into her second year in Dragon Media and is one of  the sports editors for the yearbook. She’s planning on being the sports desk for KDGN and is going to write her script for that role in the new class, Sports Media, taught by Lindsey Jacobson. She hopes to attend The University of Texas at Austin to study sports broadcasting and journalism; or Texas A&M at Corpus Christi to study marine biology. Her dream is to be recognized at a national level for her photography/videography since she has dedicated so much time and effort into it. Cailyn is also a committed member of National Charity League (NCL) with a board position as parliamentarian. When she’s not on the sidelines with a camera, she is either in Florida with her family or around Southlake with her friends. Her music taste varies, but her favorite artist is Lord Hurron. The inclusive, educational, and enjoyable environment of media classes is why she loves them so much.
Ben Randall
Ben Randall, Dragon Sports Media
Ben Randall is a sophomore at Carroll Senior High School. He is heading into his second year as part of the Dragon Media team and is planning to be a sports anchor for KDGN broadcasts, as he will write his script in Dragon Media’s newest course, Dragon Sports Media. Ben hopes to attend the University of North Texas in either Jazz Studies or Sports Journalism. His dream is to be synonymous with either being a groundbreaking jazz musician or an iconic voice of any sport. Ben is an active member of Christ Alone Lutheran Church in Keller, Texas; as he ushers, sets up and takes down the equipment, and serves as a confirmed member of the church. When he’s not in the band bleachers on game day, he is either at home relaxing or anywhere around the Metroplex enjoying life with friends and family. His music taste is broad, but he mainly listens to artists such as Isaiah Rashad or the Beastie Boys. The environment and traditions of Carroll is why Ben has loved this district since the sixth grade.
