As the spring semester slowly draws to an end, the need for motivation only increases. Senioritis is at a record high, AP exams and finals stress everyone out to the point of no return. But look forward to a few more weeks, where nostalgic hits will revive you and give you energy to never be home during the summer.
Since 2026 is the new 2016, it’s only appropriate to mix some of the biggest hits of the past decade into the summer. Throwbacks to the past when grades and social lives were the least of everyone’s worries rejuvenate the mind and give major nostalgia.
Songs like “One Dance” by Drake and “Break Free” by Ariana Grande take you back to the backseat of your parent’s car, listening to the radio on a bright and colorful summer day when you were a child. The iconic verses are forever ingrained in memories of the past and hearing them instantly transports the listener.
Dwelling on the past isn’t always the best though, it’s important to always remain in the present. Instead of focusing on the childhood memories you made to prime Justin Bieber, focus on making new memories with the people around you to emerging artists.
