There’s nothing better than fall. From halloween and warm clothes, to the invasion of pumpkin spice everything, autumn is definitely awe-worth. While the temperature may still be in the eighties in North Texas, there’s no need to fret, DFW still offers a multitude of ways for you to celebrate the season – here’s a few:

  1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch

There’s nothing more iconic this time of year than pumpkins themselves. If you’re still in need of a great gord, or maybe just want to take the perfect Instagram photo, check out Hall’s Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine for pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides and more.

  1. Southlake’s Oktoberfest

A hometown favorite, the Southlake Oktoberfest is the perfect place to sink your teeth into some fair food favorites and watch the annual wiener dog races. Best of all, it’s located right in Town Square.

  1. Apple Picking

Believe it or not, you don’t have to live in the north eastern corner of the U.S. to indulge in picking your own apples this season. In fact, you don’t have to drive more than twenty five minutes to enjoy a fresh fuji or granny smith.

Eat everything you’ve ever imagined could be fried, and then some. And don’t forget to go on a weekday to avoid the crowds and hit up the famous rides without waiting too long.

This fall, a wave of new horror movies will be hitting our local theatre. Beginning with “Blair Witch” that came out Sept. 16, just before the commencement of fall, and finishing with “Ouiji: Origin of Evil” which will premiere on Oct. 26, there’s an ongoing list of flicks to check out. As for throwbacks, Palace Theatre will be showing a multitude of older films as a precursor to Halloween.
