As the school year has started, the counselor talks have as well. The counselors addressed many regulations and processes that need to be followed. In case you missed what the counselors said, here is a debrief of the talk:
Dress code:
The dress code is the same this year as it has been in the past, except now the dress codes are combined instead of being separated by gender. The counselors are being strict in making sure the dress code is followed by everyone.
Parking spots:
Parking spots that have a number towards the bottom are reserved only for seniors. Students who have a reserved parking spot should have a ticket with their spot number on it stuck to their passenger-side window. Anyone who is in the wrong spot will get a warning and then a boot. Everyone who can park at the school has a ticket that has to go to the dashboard of their car.
The flow of traffic:
Officer Rogers discussed the flow of traffic. He said that the student drivers need to make sure not to slow down too much so the traffic doesn’t get too jammed. Office Rogers will signal to the drivers when to stop and go into the school to help control traffic. There is a map provided by the school for the flow of traffic that drivers need to go through.
Bus and car passes:
Bus passes are needed after the first two weeks of school for students to be able to go on the bus. If bus passes were bought by a student, they were available to be picked up at the front office. If students are parking either at the high school or the senior high school, a parking permit is needed. Students will receive a warning and then a boot if they don’t have a ticket to park at the schools.
