October 17, 2016

This fall release has some amazing video games coming out  – from shooters to real time strategy games, there’s something to look forward to for every gamer.

The first game coming out in October is “Shadow Warrior 2.” Its fighting mechanics are reminiscent of “Overwatch” while having a more gruesome appeal to more hardcore fans. Featuring over 70 weapons, numerous skills and now the ability to play with a friend, this is a great game to pick up on PC on Oct. 13 for $40.

“Battlefield 1” is DICE’s latest entry in the battlefield series, set in World War 1, so don’t expect futuristic tanks and automatic weapons; instead, you have horses, gas masks, and other weapons used during WW1. DICE had an open beta with over 13 million players playing. so whatever platform you are playing “Battlefield 1” on, it’s a great shooter to buy for $60 on PC, PS4, or Xbox One on Oct. 21.

The third entry on this list is for all of our strategy lovers. “Civilization 6” takes us back to time to “Civilization 5,” introducing a whole new art style and new features in this turn based strategy game. You control a civilization from the stone age all the way to the space age, battling other players, gathering resources, and researching new technology. These are all fundamental in winning a game of Civilization. Already receiving high praise from critics at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, this will be another award winning game for 2K Games Company. Civilization 6 is coming to PC on Oct. 21 for $60.

“Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” is a upcoming fighting game made by Bandai Namco set in the Dragon Ball universe. Players will be able to revisit all of “Dragon Ball Z’s” key moments and help them return back to the way they are suppose to be in the original shows from “Dragon Ball” to “Dragon Ball Super.” The newest feature in the second iteration is every character can now transform to a more powerful form allowing you to fight stronger characters. You can pick this game up on October 25th for $60 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

“Titanfall 2” is a first-person shooter in which you control a soldier and a larger humanoid robot named Titans. The mech has lots of weapons and huge firepower while the soldier has grappling hooks, jet packs and other fast mobility tools to help him get around. As the game progresses the pilot gains access to his mech, allowing him to drop it down from orbit helping him obliterate his foes. This shooter game will be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Oct. 28 for $60.

“Owlboy” is the most unique looking title in this winters line up of games. The main character, Owlboy, can’t punch, kick, or even shoot. He uses other friends that he carries to help him beat the different bosses. Having been worked on for over 9 years this is a beautiful  looking unique indie title that will be coming out on PC on Nov. 1 for $25.

“Dishonored 2” is a stealth action-adventure title combining an array of powers with the ability to complete a mission in a stealth like manner or a more aggressive approach. From the beginning of the game you get the choice of playing of one of two main characters, Corvo the protagonist of the first game or Emily, his daughter. This initial choice decides how you deal with events in the game and what powers you get.  Already receiving IGN’s Best Xbox One Game this is another game that should be added to your collection if you like action games. Dishonored 2 comes out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on Nov. 11 for $60.

“Pokemon Sun” and “Moon” is Game Freak’s newest announced title in the pokemon series having four new islands to explore and bringing back lots of old pokemon while bringing in many new pokemon. Game Freak has also introduced Z-moves for new and past pokemon these moves are super strong moves almost to able to take out any pokemon in one hit. If you have a 3DS I would highly recommend buying “Pokemon Sun” and “Moon” on Nov. 18 for $40.

“Dead Rising 4” is a upcoming zombie survival game developed by Capcom Vancouver. Unlike its predecessors, there is no timer system allowing you to to play in one area for as long as you would like to in the open world setting.
